CHOPIN AND HIS SCOTTISH LADY, JANE STIRLING. In this programme we will hear many of the best-loved Chopin piano pieces as well as some of the lesser known ones, enhanced by the story of Chopin’s life with particular reference to his talented Scottish pupil, Jane Stirling, who was to become a major figure in Chopin’s later years.

For children aged 2-6:

STURRWORM THE HUNGRY SEA-DRAGON: An Orkney legend about a dragon who comes ashore to sate his appetite and eats everything. How is he to be stopped? An exciting story with a gigantic dragon, a princess and a magic sword. Music by the 19th century Scots composer, Hamish McCunn.
