About the Show

This tour will entertain everyone with the charm of Chopin’s lyrical piano music. The biographical information which we provide, reflects his extraordinary gift of expressing himself in words. Much of the music is well known but there are also many pieces which show new aspects of his genius. It will no doubt also be of interest that his Scottish pupil, Jane Stirling was much involved in his later life.

The children’s piano music show by Stephen Baron (piano) retells a famous Orkney legend of a dragon who comes ashore to sate his voracious appetite. An inter-active show for 2-6 year olds with piano music by the little known 19th century Scot, Hamish McCunn.
