Story Wagon 2023

Story Wagon arrives with stories to share and space for anyone to share theirs.

Written or spoken, quiet or loud, we welcome audiences to participate in drop-in activities or attend workshops and performances.

Before our visit, we work with promoters and venues to co-curate a programme of activities ideal for your area’s audience. That programme can include performances by storytellers or writers local to your area.

The programme of activities we can offer from the Wagon includes:

Drop in: Open writing space – typewriters and pens available, custom stories on request from our writer in residence, add a word to our dictionary, collaborative story weaving, origami bookmark making, themed poetry prompts, themed story prompts,

Workshops & Performances: creative writing workshops (all levels), writing for wellbeing sessions, traditional storytelling performances, reading out loud sessions.

About Us:

Lead facilitator, Luke Winter, has been creating outdoor stories with the general public for more than eight years. He’s performed with Edinburgh International Book Festival, Scottish Book Trust, Wigtown Book Festival, Scottish Storytelling Centre, Moat Brae, Penguin Random House + many more.
