Fat Girl Singing is an autobiographical one woman show looking at music and body image. This is about using your voice when everything is telling you to shut up. It’s an exorcism, a raised fist, a hug. It’s a journey towards positivity and loud, unapologetic defiance.

Who is Emma Geraghty? Emma Geraghty is a writer, director, and performer. Her solo work in theatre and writing focuses on body image and representations of queerness, and she explores contemporary politics through different theatrical styles with the award-winning company Powder Keg.

Fat Girl Singing is supported by Royal Exchange Theatre + The Dukes (Lancaster); supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The show was a part of Works Ahead 2018 which is co-commissioned/co-produced by hÅb, Contact + STUN (Sustained Theatre Up North); supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
