FREAGRA | A Blurred Expanse

The Blurred Expanse is where the inhabitants conjure their play of cause-and-effect. Their play is not always playful, where at times they test their environment and the capabilities of their comrades.

The lights come up on five performers, a bench and a cluster of balloons suspended above the space.

The blurred expanse is where the inhabitants conjure their play of cause-and-effect. They seek the new, toying with the unfamiliar until it becomes familiar, and then discard it. Their play is not always playful, where at times they test their environment and the capabilities of their comrades.

A playful, colourful performance of contemporary dance, suitable for all ages, with universal themes of community, conflict, and harmony. The work is performed by five exceptional dancers, accompanied by an original musical score and breathtaking lighting and costume designs.

The Blurred Expanse is a mid-scale, black box work which has recently completed a National Tour of Scotland (including Project Arts Centre Dublin), to critical acclaim. The work has a playful, modern and sleek design and speaks of human behaviour, social harmony and conflict. It has an international cast of 5 dancers, original music; and lighting by Irish Designer Rob Moloney.
