Shattered by Lisa Nicoll
A new play by Lisa Nicoll, funded by The Big Lottery, exploring the humour, humanity and isolation of everyday life in a film-noir style.
About the Show
After months of watching from her window and seeing her husband move in and out of her static world, a woman is forced out onto the busy city street and into reality when she witnesses an incident which begins her reconnection to life.
Stylistically, the production will take inspiration from film noir – embracing striking visual elements to highlight a dream-world of the play in stark contrast to reality. Placing isolation in the spotlight, Shattered will celebrate the impact human interaction – no matter how brief – can have on individuals.
A new commission and production funded by The Big Lottery, Shattered is available to tour from 20th May to 16th June.
