In Conversation in the Folk Clubs

Throughout 2024, Peggy Seeger is going back to her roots in the folk and acoustic clubs of Great Britain for a series of ‘In Conversation’ events around the country. Please note that these will not be concerts.

Peggy says, “I literally grew into adulthood in the folk clubs of the UK. I was only 21 when I got together with Ewan MacColl and over our 33 years together we sang in almost every folk club there was.  Times have changed of course, and I’m deeply curious about where we are as a folk community.”  

Peggy is a hugely entertaining speaker, often peppering the conversation with off-the-cuff singing to illustrate a particular point. She positively encourages questions and contributions from the floor. Venues will need to provide an host interviewer and we’re able to provide plenty of biographical information to help with background research if required. 

As each club is unique in terms of size, venue and frequency of events, we are scheduling events throughout the whole of 2024 and being flexible on offers. Do please drop me a line or call me for an initial conversation about booking Peggy for an ‘In Conversation’.  If you also book for a festival, Peggy is happy to do an ‘In Conversation’ in a festival tent.  There will be a final live concert tour in Arts Centre venues towards the end of 2024 and into 2025 so again, if this is of interest do let me know.
