Starting its national tour at the Lowry, Crucible and Horse + Bamboo theatres, the show introduces legendary righter of wrongs, Wilhelm Tell (the "Swiss Robin Hood”), who famously shot an apple off his child’s head.
About the Show
Audiences can expect capers around castles, damsels in distress, medieval Strictly Come Dancing, and a jaw-dropping joust on life-size horse puppets as Tell’s daughter Will dresses up as a knight and sets off to rescue her dad from the Baron’s deepest darkest dungeon. Inspired by the adventures of Robin Hood, Will knows how to stand up to tyrants but is clueless when the Baron’s daughter Edel falls madly in love with her and wants to be rescued too. Can our heroine, with just pots and pans for armour and a donkey for a steed, defeat the Bad Baron and free her dad and Edel?
