Coalesce Dance Theatre (2017), make down to earth dance. 
Directors, Fern Wareham & Rachel Maffei, are passionate about making work with & for the local communities across their home base, Manchester & the North of the UK. Their ethos is to work closely with diverse community groups to deliver inclusive & educational creative activities to address wellbeing, connection & change.
Coalesce develop socio-politically relevant dance theatre work that is engaging for wide audiences, through the raw & impulsive physical dance style combined with whimsical story-telling.
 Coalesce have: -Successfully delivering 5 successful ACE funded projects over the past 3 years -Received commissions & support inc. from: Touring Arts In Libraries, NRTF, Spot On Lancashire, Blaize, Leeds Libraries, Arts Alive, Dance Manchester, The Lowry, Ransack Dance, Word of Warning, Company Chameleon, Protein Dance, York Dance Space, Run With Gulls -Secured 26 bookings & toured work ‘The Old Green Time Machine’ to Rural Touring and Libraries networks across 2022, also delivering workshops and ‘stay and play’ sessions for young children, families & environmental groups -Artists in Residence at University of Salford (UoS) -Created DanceConnect – an initiative delivering pro class to the dance artists of Greater MCR -Delivered outreach workshops to women’s groups across Greater Manchester & London, collecting & gathering stories from participants, that informed the development of the company’s work, The Cocoon -Taught professional & student outreach delivered across Manchester & wider UK -Researched & developed digital aspects of their dance & company work with the hopes to create greater accessibility -Performed at national venues & platforms including Edinburgh Fringe Festiva
