Pauline Vallance

Pauline has been described as “a Scottish Joni Mitchell” and “a female Jonathan Richman”, as her songs vary from the serious eg. about Conscientious Objectors to the downright ridiculous eg. about dogs eating mobile phones. She always aims to entertain and to provide something a bit different to what you might expect from a gentle, traditional instrument. Depending on the audience, she can add soothing or lively traditional songs and/or unusual rock covers like Kate Bush, Bowie and Blondie.

She is a seasoned performer and plays regularly throughout Scotland and beyond. Last year, her gigs varied from festivals such as Eden, Doonfest and the Edinburgh Fringe to a Christmas Concert in the Great Hall at Stirling Castle and even the famous Barrowland in Glasgow. She is happy to travel as far afield as possible.
