I want to bring the intimacy of the acoustic guitar to audiences and to make my shows warm and engaging. I like to draw in the audience and prefer smaller venues with audiences who want to listen to the music and interact with the stories I tell around the tunes. I play fingerstyle six and twelve string acoustic guitars and lap steel guitar in different tunings, largely my own compositions, and I tell stories about the making of the music and the origins and background of the styles. I often describe my music as a menu:-

A feast of fingerpicked Appalachian folk and blues served on a bed of North Indian Raga, garnished with Wild Mountain Thyme and washed down with a bottle of ‘Desert Blue’. American, Celtic, English and North African guitar styles played on 6 and 12 string and lap slide guitars.
