Looping: Scotland Overdub

A ground-breaking collaboration with Brazilian
dance collective 7OITO. Looping: Scotland Overdub is a Brazilian street
festival inspired ceilidh, re-imagined from the hit Looping: Bahia Overdub by
Felipe de Assis, Leonardo França and Rita Aquino (7OITO) with a distinctively
Scottish edge.

With words by acclaimed writer Kieran Hurley, featuring music from Optimo
and Mahal Pita, costumes by Alison Brown and Timorous Beasties, lighting by
Emma Jones, Looping: Scotland Overdub celebrates the cultures and
heritages of Brazil and Scotland in a political dance party.

Capturing the collective spirit of ceilidh dancing and street festivals vibes, this
is one show not to be missed!

Looping: Scotland Overdub is an immersive performance experience with occasional loud music, flashing lights and the audience is free to move. There is no fixed seating. Please let us know in advance if you have any accessibility needs or if standing or walking for an hour is difficult for you. We are here to help make your experience comfortable.

Looping: Scotland Overdub has a broad appeal and our team can offer preparatory participation workshops and engagement activity,
giving further insight and understanding to build interest. The Team specialises
in demystifying dance vocabulary and methodology and works with venues to
ensure a wide range of groups can be reached. Please get in touch with us for
