About the Show

The Morrich Project is a live immersive performance that blends contemporary dance, experimental sound and projected video.  It is a collaboration between Julia McGhee, Penny Chivas, Nicolette Macleod and Saffy Setohy.

The work responds to an area of land near Julia’s home in the far North of Scotland called Morrich More.  Known locally as The Morrich, it is a long stretch of saltmarsh and sand dune in the Dornoch First that is both a protected area of natural beauty and forms part of Tain Air Weapons Range – one of the largest MOD sites in the UK.  It is a complex place: both a safe haven and a practice war zone.
