Torch Songs features classics from heartbreak heavyweights such as Billie Holiday, Chet Baker and Nina Simone while also exploring the life and times of the now-iconic singers who set the standard for vocal jazz and blues.
   
Scottish performer and eternal wayward girl Cat Loud is a jazz singer originally from the Isle of Mull and now based in Glasgow. Her most recent cabaret show To the End of the World!, a satirical and confessional worst-case scenario apocalypse fantasy, premiered at London’s VAULT Festival in 2018 where it picked up an Origins Award for Outstanding New Work.

Her work slides between music, theatre and cabaret, and is distinctively intimate as she blends her trademark dusky vocals with storytelling and comedic ennui. 

Torch Songs features guitar accompaniment from Samuel Bance, though the band can vary in size depending on venue size and budget.
