The Magic Sweet Jar

A magical, musical adventure for children 6+ and their families, created with support from Marlowe Theatre and Arts Alive.

What happens when a girl who thinks life should only be fun finds herself in a world made entirely of sweets?

Louisa is whisked away to Sweetland, where lemonade seas, toffee valleys and a wish-granting lollipop await. But the wicked Sugar King has taken over, and Louisa must find the courage to face him if she ever wants to get home again.

With original songs, live music, puppetry, masks, magic and audience participation, this exciting and colourful show explores responsibility, courage and emotional resilience.

The 50 minute production is designed to tour flexibly to small studio theatres, libraries, schools and community spaces. We can provide our own lights and PA, and  offer a one-hour drama workshop alongside the performance. We’d love to talk about bringing the show to your venue.
