Stories of Nature on Cello

A beautiful and communicative programme of music for solo cello, that draws inspiration from nature and our place within the wider communities of life and the landscapes around us.  With pieces celebrating much loved trees, illustrating glaciers and ice melt, and telling human stories around poignant migrations or our joyful dips in cold water seas around Scotland, the music in this concert will be presented alongside the stories and ecological context surrounding these works.  A mixture of contemporary classical and traditional music including works by Rylan Gleave, Lisa Robertson, James Ross, Fergus Hall, Aileen Sweeney and Jessica Kerr, this programme invites listeners to pause and reflect on our connection to nature.

Everyone and all ages are welcome at performances of Stories of Nature on Cello.

Jessica is also open to mini collaborations with local musicians, artists, children’s ensembles etc as part of the concert visit and/or performance.  Please enquire to see what possibilities might suit your community.
