Rachel and Holli: Scottish Trad Duo

Rachel and Holli offer a full two-hour long performance of traditional music. Their show blends traditional songs and melodies from Scotland, Ireland and North America with their own compositions, demonstrating the innovation and diversity of the current traditional music scene, alongside the preservation of heritage and culture. Their performance engages audience members through their charismatic and witty personas, involving audience members through both conversation and song. Both Rachel and Holli learnt to play music through community workshops and Fèisean in Argyll, and as such they are passionate about promoting community and bringing musical performance to rural communities across Scotland and beyond. They aim to create a sense of belonging and affinity by bringing audience members closer both to each other and to themselves as performers.
