The Jennifer Ewan Band

The band comprises singer-songwriter Jennifer Ewan, accordionist Kim Tebble (Deaf Heights Cajun Aces) jazz percussionist Paul Dennington and talented bass guitarist Jamie Hogg.

Jen’s rich and distinctive voice is a link between Scottish song traditions and American country music from Appalachia to Louisiana to Texas. Scots-Cajun mid-tempo personal ballads are grounded in the grooves of Cajun dance music.

The band has appeared on BBC at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Celtic Connections at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and BBC Radio Scotland’s “The Janice Forsyth Show”. In 2017, 2018 and 2019 they brought their show, Bonnie Bayou, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, performing to sell out audiences throughout their twelve-night runs. In 2022 they brought their show Bonnie Bayou to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and performed to packed houses at The Jazz Bar.
